Joining a new church is a very exciting decision! There are three ways to unite in membership at Saint Luke’s:
- Profession of Faith and Baptism
- Reaffirmation of Faith
- Transfer of Membership
If you wish to join Saint Luke’s, you may do so by completing a New Members class. At the completion of the class, you then meet with the Session to be accepted into membership.
To help discover what Saint Luke’s is like, we offer Inquirers Classes for individuals and families. These classes (a series of 6) discuss the following topics:
- Church Structure and History – a basic overview of the way the Presbyterian Church operates.
- Saint Luke’s Presbyterian Church at a glance – church members will give brief descriptions of the different areas of church life (Sunday School, Choirs, Children’s and Youth Ministries, Mission, etc.) in which they are involved.
- Presbyterian Beliefs – a discussion about some of the major beliefs of the Presbyterian Church.
A tour of the church campus and getting to know one another participating in the class is part of the Inquirers experience. (Participating in an Inquirers Class is not required for membership.)
Inquirers Classes happen periodically throughout the year. Contact David Lower for more information or call the church at 770-393-1424.
