Confirmation at Saint Luke’s
For 8th Graders – A Journey of Faith, Questions, and Discovery
Confirmation is a fall experience for 8th graders designed to explore faith, ask big questions, and have a lot of fun along the way. Together we’ll wrestle with topics like:
- What does it mean to be a Christian?
- What does it mean to be Presbyterian?
- What is the Bible?
Using a curriculum adapted from Sparkhouse, we’ll meet Sunday evenings starting in September (before Youth Group). Each participant will be paired with a Covenant Partner—a trusted church leader to walk alongside them during the journey.
At the end, each youth will write and share a personal faith statement—not about right answers, but about how they see God at work in their life. After reflection, each confirmand will decide whether they feel called to become an active member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
We’ll celebrate those choosing membership in January during the 10:30 worship service.
