Family Promise

Family Promise is a partnership ministry of congregations within our community helping children and their parents who are homeless. During our 4 or 5 hosting weeks each year, Saint Luke’s volunteers dine with our guests, spend time in conversation and play, stay overnight in Sunday School rooms converted to cozy bedrooms for each family and host, and help families get away to school or work in the morning. Saint Luke’s is a founding congregation of Family Promise North Fulton/DeKalb and houses their office and Day Center.
The ministry uses established community resources: houses of worship for lodging, congregations for volunteers, existing facilities for day programs at a third of the cost of traditional shelters.
For more information, visit Family Promise.
