AIR

AIR-Guatemala (AIRGuatemala.org) is a ministry working in sustainable farming, education, and conservation with Mayan farmers in Guatemala.  AIR’s mission is to implement Sustainable Farming methods with farmers in order to protect water sources, reduce hunger and malnutrition and prevent deadly mudslides, while protecting God’s gift of Creation.

In the summer months, AIR hosts small teams of volunteers for a week at a time to work side-by-side with Mayan farmers and AIR’s technicians building efficient stoves, planting trees and participating in school programs. Mission trips with AIR-Guatemala take place each Saturday-Saturday in June. For more information about these trips, email [email protected].

Saint Luke’s has been a part of AIR’s team for over 15 years, and dozens of Saint Luke’s adults and college students have traveled to Guatemala to share Christ’s love in the mountain communities.
