Update From our PCUSA Mission Co-Workers

October 18, 2020 by Lindsay Moss

Last month Saint Luke’s was introduced to our new PCUSA mission co-workers, Elmarie and Scott Parker, who live in Beirut and serve the people of Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. A letter, written by Scott, to the children of our church was featured in the Sept. 16 Highlights. This month, Scott has written a letter geared more to the adults in our congregation.  It describes some of their work and a bit about the current situation Beirut following a massive explosion in the city on August 4, 2020.

In the coming months you will be hearing more about the Parkers and our newly developing relationship with them.  In the meantime, please keep Elmarie and Scott Parker and the people and churches in Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria in your prayers.  Especially remember those in Beirut during this dark, post-blast time.
