Wonderfully Made – A House Built With Love. That is how we will be able to characterize our 2022 Atlanta Habitat home buyer Arnita Allen’s house when the keys are turned over to her!
The build starts on June 18th followed by build days on June 25, July 9, July 16, July 30, August 6 and the final build day, August 13. We will join with our long-time partner church, Dodd-Sterling United Methodist Church, and a number of other churches to help Arnita build her house.
This year the number of volunteers will be limited to 25 for each build day. Saint Luke’s will be able to provide four volunteers each time. Each workday starts at 7:30 AM and ends at 3:30 PM, except on June 18 when the workday will end at 12:00 Noon.
The address of Arnita’s house is 415 West Lake Avenue NW in Atlanta. The first workday all volunteers will meet at the Atlanta Habitat Warehouse at 824 Memorial Drive SE 30316 where they will enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by our Saint Luke’s Men’s Breakfast kitchen crew.
We encourage car-pooling, but it may be a challenge, given the limit on the number of volunteers Saint Luke’s is allowed. If you want a ride or you want to be a driver, meet at the church parking lot (Manhasset Street) in time for a 7:00 AM departure each workday. Just recognize that a car-pooling option may not materialize, thus requiring volunteers to drive themselves to the site.
Each person must register on the Internet at the Atlanta Habitat Volunteer Hub Site.
