April 9: Church Breakfast

March 21, 2022 by Lindsay Moss

Join us for our April Church Breakfast on Saturday, April 9 at 8 am! This event will feature a presentation by Saint Luke’s member, Rebecca Thomas, who will discuss her work with CARE, a non profit that works around the globe with a focus on saving lives, defeating poverty and achieving social justice.  CARE works in over 100 countries, reaching more than 90 million people through 1,300 projects, and is actively responding to the Ukraine crisis and helping the people of Ukraine.

Rebecca spends the majority of her time working on a partnership with The PepsiCo Foundation called She Feeds the World, which empowers small-scale women farmers and their families in Uganda, Egypt, Peru, Thailand, and Vietnam. She recently went on a site visit to meet program participants in Uganda and is excited to tell stories of great transformation. Considering the current state of world conditions, this will sure to be a very informative discussion!  For further information CARE, visit their web site, https://www.care.org/

This event is hosted by the Men of Saint Luke’s, but ALL members and friends of Saint Luke’s are invited! In order for our kitchen crew to prepare enough food for all, please confirm your attendance at [email protected]. Questions? Contact Saint Luke’s member Tom Loftis.

Registration Open for Vacation Bible Experience (VBX)

March 20, 2022 by Lindsay Moss

Something BIG is happening at Saint Luke’s this summer! From Monday, June 13th through Thursday, June 16th, completed Pre-K (by September 1, 2021) through completed fifth grade will experience something – well – MONUMENTAL! We’re talking about VBX – our Vacation Bible Experience. Online registration is open! Volunteers are also invited to set their sights on helping us all celebrate God’s incredible greatness! Please contact [email protected] for more information about being part of this joyful experience.

We’ll soak up daily Bible points through drama, science, outdoor games, movies, stories, songs, and lots of movement!

Age group placement is based on the child’s age or grade as of September 1, 2021. So, the grade your child finishes in May will be the same grade for which they register.

If you need financial assistance in order to attend VBS, please email Erin Murray.
