Realizing that not everyone was able to attend our “Family Meeting” on Sunday, January 5, we want everyone to have an opportunity to respond. It is most helpful if we hear from as many people as possible about how our church programs can operate in ways that meet your family’s needs.
You might remember a couple of years ago when we gathered for a discussion about Sunday mornings. The reality of community pressures bearing down on families Sunday mornings was discussed & solutions were discerned. As a result of that family feedback, we moved chapel worship from 8:30 to 8:15, sanctuary worship from 11:00 to 10:30 am, and Sunday School from 9:30 to 9:15 am. New small groups were started. We shifted our Wednesday night schedule. Special Connections grew out of this conversation.
We want to know how well these changes and the programs offered are meeting your family’s needs for spiritual growth and faith enrichment. We also want to know what more the church can do to make sure we all have sufficient opportunity to praise, love and serve God together.
Please take some time to think through the answers below. We value honest, candid, and helpful feedback. Please don’t worry about hurting our feelings or disgracing any program. Of course, try to be kind and productive, but we want honest opinions and perceptions.
If you’d rather meet with one of us in person over coffee to talk about any of this, we’d love that too!!!
